20 Days and Rolling + The New Site

20 days of jersey wearing have now elapsed in this great little challenge of ours. Nothing to it. It has actually been a lot of fun wearing this jersey, telling people about it and then running into people who say things like, “Glad to see you’re still wearing the jersey!” and “Do you wash it in cold water to make sure it doesn’t fade?” The comments are great and hopefully more people will begin to recognize what’s going on.

We’re currently working on the promotions part of this project which will include numerous press releases as well as hopefully posters and billboards. We’re looking forward to interviews and all the press that comes with this sort of craziness. But, as you can see, the first phase of JerseyChallenge.com is complete. We have successfully launched the full site, however, we don’t yet have the online donations portion of the site live yet. Keep checking back to see how that’s going. But, we are out looking for sponsors now too. So hopefully we will have more than one sponsor as the season wears on.

The Colts, of course, have won again and this is exciting for us and for the city. We’re getting to see history in the making. I am hoping in more ways than one. Each week we get better and each week we find new things we need to be working on. Special teams is one area that we must get better at to avoid returns like the one in last week’s game that led to a touchdown. Fortunately we have a strong offense that can quickly recover the points and a defense that can now hold off our opponents to increase our lead by allowing fewer yards and subsequently fewer points.

We’re looking forward to the weeks ahead and to seeing this great city becoming involved in raising money for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.

Until next time, GO COLTS!
