First off, how great is it to now be 5-0?! This past weekend was full of great games, most of which determined by great defensive efforts. The Colt’s Buccaneers game was no different. Despite many injuries on both sides of the ball, the Colts were able to have a phenomenal offensive game as well as a great defensive game. Even without Joseph Addai or Marvin Harrison, Peyton was still able to find receivers and get our backup running back, Kenton Keith, 120 rushing yards. That’s pretty remarkable, but it’s to be expected. And our defense stepped up too with Rob Morris out for the season and Bob Sanders out for the day. Everyone knew their position and played it about as well as we could want or expect. And, to win going into a bye week will be great for the team and will hopefully give some of our key injured players the recovery time they need to be back in full force when we play another AFC South rival, Jacksonville. And for me, this means two more weeks of jersey wearin’ fun.
Which leads me into my topic for the day. While I have been wearing this beautiful jersey for 35 days straight, there are still a good number of people who still wonder if it “stinks”. Well, to clear this up, once and for all, I will reiterate, I do wash the jersey every 2 or 3 days, and I don’t wear it to sleep, or shower in it, or anything like that. I still have to be respectful to my clients and my coworkers so that I am presentable each and every day. That said, it is still a good challenge to have the wear the same exact thing every day. You can’t even imagine the looks I get.
So, until next time, go Colts. And, by the way, unfortunately we are not going to be raising money now for the PeyBack Foundation, but we will be raising money for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent. Once all of the paperwork goes through, we will be launching the donation portion of the site so you can begin to support another great cause!
Have fun this week, and let’s hope New England loses.
